Six Months Old

Guess who's six months old? This little rockstar! Among his many talents are rolling over, holding his own bottle, sitting up (assisted), spitting up (unassisted), and charming everyone with his gummy grin. Favorite entertainment: his two doting and adoring sisters. Favorite pastime: jabbering, laughing, and making me swoon every time I'm with him!

Little Miss Turns 7

I get a little emotional when my kids have birthdays.  I know it's their day and it's all about them, but it's a reflective time for me.  I can't believe this little spirited chica came into our lives seven years ago and has been rockin' our world ever since.  Even the nurses said we had a fireball on our hands with her when she was less than two days old.  We love you so much Elle! You're smart, beautiful, loving, and full of feisty goodness! Happy 7th birthday! Watch out world. She'll be president one day!!

This also marks the seven year anniversary of this blog, since I started it after she was born as a way to keep family and friends updated about her progress.  Facebook has largely taken the place of the need for daily updates, but this blog has evolved into a way for our family to keep a history and scrapbook of our many extraordinary, and often times quite ordinary, adventures!

One of the best things about being 7 is losing baby teeth.  It's very exciting when the tooth fairy comes to our house.  This little girl has now lost TWO baby teeth.  Here she is showing off the new empty space in her mouth, but not for long, her adult teeth are already growing in.

For Ella's birthday, her daddy took her out to I-HOP for a special daddy/daughter breakfast.  She was super excited to have hot chocolate and get this special one on one time with her dad.

That evening, we had nana and papa over for cake and ice cream.  Ella got a new bike from papa, and a tiger from us (per her request... this kid loves large stuffed animals)

Then on Saturday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday for the second year in a row.  It's her favorite place. What can I say?  Not my favorite place, but it makes her happy, so it was totally worth it!  Even little man enjoyed the horse ride there with a little support from papa.

The ticket blaster is her favorite part!

Friends and neighbors joined us for the celebration, so it was a nice day!  We came home and it was nice enough for Ella and Amelia to ride their bikes at the park for a bit, so that was an added perk since it's been so cold this winter.

Happy Birthday Miss Elle!  We love you!!!
