My Amelia Ruth

Six years ago today I met one of my favorite people on the planet. She didn't talk much then, but feelings transcended words, and I knew I was holding someone pretty special. My sweet Amelia has always been full of love and kindness. She brightens even my darkest days with her bright eyes and cute little dimple. I'm so glad to have you in our family! Happy Birthday beautiful girl🎂🎉❤️. You are destined for great things I know.

Amelia turns 6

Amelia thought it would be fun to go bowling for her 6th birthday! The nice thing about this bowling alley is they have a nice room for birthday parties as well as a cute little arcade area for kids to play games. We had a great time celebrating our sweet Amelia's special day with friends and family.

Back to School 2016

School is about to start, so I took one day with each of my girls and we spent a special day back to school shopping. Amelia was pretty easy to please, but Ella felt the need to try on everything in her size at Kohl's, and I let her because she's one of the pickiest girls ever. Luckily after all that trying on there were a few winners. Then we celebrated with ice cream at the Carousel.

And then before we knew it the big yellow bus was headed down the road, and 1st and 3rd grade were ready to begin!

 And they're off!!!

We took these other photos on the second day of school at the bus stop.
So much excitement over this school year!

Summer Visit With Family

So it's only taken me until nearly Halloween to catch up on blog posts from the summer. So excuse the out of ordered-ness of the following posts, but we had such a nice summer I don't want to leave anything out.

We loved having the Millers come this summer from Texas. We got to swim with them in their in-laws pool.

Then one special evening we went to visit the temple grounds and visitor's center, and then headed to DC to see the monuments at night.

After a beautiful evening walking around the temple, we then headed into the Nations capital...
This was one of our favorite parts of their visit, but we also took some family photos after church on Sunday. They weren't very formal but that's why I love them so much I think.

So here's to some of my most favorite people and another wonderful summer family visit.
