For our 12 year anniversary we thought it would be lovely for many reasons to return to the place where it all began, the temple where we were sealed for time and all eternity. A lot has happened over the last twelve years. We've had many ups and downs, and the road has often been difficult. There have been days I haven't liked my husband, and I'm sure he hasn't liked me either, but love, love is a choice we have chosen to make every day, because a successful marriage is one in which two people learn and exercise forgiveness on a regular basis. And that is largely due to the covenants we made with each other twelve years ago in this holy house. Twelve years ago I married this cute boy and neither of us really knew what we were getting into, but now that cute boy is a handsome man. He provides for our family and he is willing and wanting to be the best person he can be. I'm so proud to call him mine.
The next day we decided to take an evening and enjoy a couples massage at a local inn. It was WONDERFUL!
They had a hot tub we were able to take advantage of as well, and then we headed off to dinner.
So Happy Anniversary my love! Twelve goes down in the books as being a great success (even if dinner was way overpriced and they charged us too much for our massages... hey, we got free robes).
